This story takes place in Dimension X on the planet of Ambrosia. There is a phantom island in Ambrosia where our story specifically takes place; it is a magical place filled with awe and wonder. But within this phantom island, an evil beyond the imagination of the Unchosen dwell. Only the Chosen can see this island.

Many new technologies, such as anti-gravity, have been developed here. One year (better known as a "cycle") in Dimension X is equal to 6.4185303514377 years in our dimension. This means that since it is 2010 here, it is 313x in that dimension. The event that reset the calendar in Dimension X remains unknown.

The Land of Seven Riches (La Seri)

La Seri (The Land of Seven Riches) is a phantom island that has over time been split into several districts by the waters of the Galinian and Ataskijan Oceans, as well as the Fortuna sea. It can only be seen by those who are chosen to see it. The Chosen are so rare in comparison to the world population that it was dubbed nonexistent and therefore a phantom island in 200x by the World Leaders. It is surrounded by a magical force that serves as an optical illusion to the eyes of the Unchosen— to the point where they can sail straight through it (none of the inhabitants of La Seri can detect them, and vice versa). Part of La Seri actually floats in the sky.

The name is pretty self explanatory. "La Seri" is composed of the first two letters of land, seven, and riches. The phrase "La Seri" can also be roughly translated from Spanish into "series", hinting at those who have never seen a map that this is indeed a series of islands. This of course would mean that the term "La Seri" was applied after the island was split into the series of smaller islands. These islands are codenamed according to the color of the ore founded by the ancestors, more than likely the Diamonian gods.

The Ore +Corresponding Districts

  • Silver Ore: Silvania
  • Sapphire Ore: Saphania
  • Golden Ore: Auron
  • Jade Ore: Jagaia
  • Red Ore: Rubanyo
  • Black Ore: Oniyex (Before, it was the land of Amethysia, and before that, it was the land of Platinia)

Serian Homeland Security Levels

There are 4 homeland security levels established by the Silvanian, Saphanian, Auronian, and Jagaian Councils in La Seri. Code Blue is the lowest level, and Code Red is the highest level. The codes were originally meant to be used in times of war, but hyperactivity of the Naginata clan has changed the purpose of the codes to be based on their activity in the region.

Code Blue- Naginata activity at minimum level. Citizens need not feel threatened.

Code Purple- Naginata activity at mild level. Citizens are advised to exercise caution when traversing the grounds, especially from 2100 hours to 900 hours. Code Orange- Naginata activity at moderate level. Citizens are advised to exercise moderate caution when traversing the grounds, especially from 1900 hours to 700 hours. Code Red- Naginata activity at high level. Citizens are advised to exercise extreme caution when traversing the grounds, especially from 1800 hours to 600 hours. Otherwise, citizens are to stay inside at all times, and are advised not to drop their guards and check their water supply.

The Serian Rail System

Originally built cooperatively by the Silvanian, Saphanian, Auronian, Jagaian, and Platinian districts with the intention of providing country-wide transportation, this anti-gravitational rail system features 1st class service for all its customers (including personal bathrooms and riding rooms) and a local and express franchise. The rail system runs high in the sky, avoiding contact with surface and hover traffic and through tunnels submerged under the street level/ground. Riders can board the train by taking an elevators that leads to the sky terminals. High quality worldwide cuisine can be purchased through the CE (Cuchine), a machine capable of materializing food thanks to advanced scientific and magical programming. Many parasites attempt to drain the power of the train system so that they can infect the passengers, but Cid Hirigani and other gifted fighters (such as the Slayers) have saved the passengers and restored the power on many occasions. The terminal in the previously Platinian region has been destroyed, blocking access to Oniyex via the rail system. Access to Jagaia has also been blocked due to the ongoing war.

The Date System

The Dating System used in Dimension X is a lot different yet similar to our own. Instead of referring to January, February, etc. as the name of the month, a person in Dimension X would refer to it as the number of the month preceded by "Month" or "M":

January= Month 1 or M1

The days would be referred to as the number of the day preceded by "Day" or "D":
Day 19 or D19
And the years would be referred to as "Year" or "Y", but more popularly in that dimension "Cycle" or "C" (don't get confused, Cycle and Year mean the same thing in Dimension X):
Cycle 313x or C313x
Year 313x or Y313x
So if you'd want to translate today's date (Februrary 19, 2010) into the current day in Dimension X, you'd write:
Month 2, Day 19, C313x
or
M2.D19.C313x

  • Remember! When writing out the full dates (Month, Day, Cycle/Year), use commas! When writing out the abbreviated dates (M,D,C/Y), use periods!
