Oniyex (O-nai-yay) is the most dangerous of the 6 districts. The East region of it is a desolate wasteland (which used to be Platinia (Plat-en-eeya)), and the west region is a somewhat civilized area. Both regions are heavilly fogged with Dark Matter and crawling with Naginata. Travelers are advised not to step on Oniyan grounds, as the Saphanians claim that they are cursed. Their claim could be true, for stubborn travelers have entered this district-- and have never gotten out.
Climate
Oniyex always experiences a night like time of day due to the heavy clouds of dark matter. Because the clouds are so dense, it's generally cool in Oniyex, with temperatures dipping down to about 20 below zero Fahrenheit. Oniyex experiences snow fall at least 8 out of the 12 months of each year, which can be verified by Luke Hirigani's comment on the weather: "It's never summer in the land of the damned". When it is not snowing, it is raining, and temperatures are usually 40-60 degrees. The highest temperature as recorded by the district's council (the three Warlords) was 68 degrees.
Locations of Interest
Despite its barren wasteland exterior, there are certain locations in Oniyex that are worth knowing about. We'll start on the border between Jagaia and Oniyex and move westward from there.
Tidal Wave- Tidal Wave is a surf shop/bar being run by Gale Shurinai. This is where many people who have escaped from the clutches of the Naginata go to hide before passing on into Jagaia-- in the rare occasion that they escape. The shop consists of a circular lounge, a patio, a balcony, and a secret location where Shurinai gives refuge to the fugitives. It is being funded by Felix Gataelo and Cid Hirigani, which explains why it hasn't been shut down (even with the lack of customers). Despite the lack of customers, the shop still offers top quality surfing gear. Rumors go around that Shurinai has weapons stashed in the shop for the fugitives to defend themselves against the "unwelcome".
Crystal Caverns- The Crystal Caverns used to be the source of most of the Platinum Ore when Platinia existed. It also has been revealed to be the hiding place of Luke's father and other Platinians before they were brutally slain by the elite Guardians (aka the Rouge, or the Reds). Now that Platinia has been captured, the crystal caverns are filled with dark matter (crystallized and fog), and Guardians that have been assigned to patrol there. The Caverns are like a maze (lit by Dark Matter crystals), and they serve as an access point to Cloud 9. They are riddled with colossal halls with pillars, suggesting that the caverns were used by an ancient civilization. It serves as a a vast access point to the Sunstone Lake, the Bloodstone Crown, and even Diamonia— it's just a matter of navigating there.
The Naginatas' Private Park- The Naginatas' Park is a massive park that surrounds Naginata's Mansion. Aside from the courtyard, this serves as a resting place for the Naginata. A long path winds into the park from its entrance to the entrance of the mansion, and a shed and sight seeing tower are located on the Western side in order for a Guardian to see any unwanted Guests. This is the most luscious part of Oniyex in terms of nature (aside from the courtyard), but it is still heavilly fogged by Dark Matter.
Naginata's Mansion is a bright orange-colored mansion that towers over Oniyex. This is where all members of the Naginata clan reside-- and where the prisoners are taken. The lobby consists of a lounge, a bar, two massive closets for the Guardians to hang their gear, an elevator, steps, a passage to the holding cells, and a hall that leads to the theater (which eventually leads to central square). The map of the lobby shown to the right is an old map; the newer one includes a welcoming desk (which forces many to ponder over whether this is a mansion or a hotel). As far as the closets are concerned, Xenon Naginata insists that his Guardians clean their clothes before hanging them in the closet, leading many to believe that he's a clean freak (though they've seen otherwise). The Guardians love the lounge though they fail to emotionally illustrate that fact. They usually stand around in the lounge or the theater silently and slouched over (as if they were thinking about something).
Technik Welt is a virtual reality (better known as a network) created by Xenon Naginata. It is the only "Shadow (or Viral) Network", spreading its viral properties to other networks and eventually reality. This network is heavily infected with Naginata's virus, and when he is immersed in this world, he becomes symbiotically attached to it. Under Naginata's command, this network and its inhabitants can be other networks' worst nightmare. Ironically enough, attacks from this network have been rare.
Cloud 9 is a part of what used to be the sky town of Diamonia. It is located near the unknown mountain range. Destiny, the first Warlord, resides deep within this massive temple region. Cloud 9 is overrun with Nero and Azure Guardians, meaning that someone not too friendly lives there...
The Bloodstone Crown is an extension of the Bloodstone Mountains. Within the crown is a spring-like region. This vast valley of greenery is home to Incubus the Benevolent and the Blanc Elites (division of the Elite Guardians). There are little sparkling rivers and lakes and dewy grasslands galore-- but the beauty of the region doesn't hide the fact that Dark Matter fog still covers the region. One is advised to be on high alert when traversing this land, for the corrupted wild-life is out for the blood and flesh of a trespasser and the Blanc Elites hide in the bushes and trees, waiting to strike their next victim.
